In order to prevent the board-to-board connector from oxidation, copper alloy material is usually used. Board-to-board connector is currently the strongest transmission capacity of all connector products connector products, mainly used in electric power systems, communication networks, financial manufacturing, elevators, industrial automation, medical equipment, office equipment, home appliances, military manufacturing and other industries.
Currently the main pitch of the board-to-board connectors are 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.635 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.00 m and 1.27 mm

In electronics manufacturing, the entire device may require the right amount of available space, as the device may be split into two or more boards if the PCB at the board design stage tends to take up too much space. Board-to-board connectors connect power and signals between boards to complete all connections.
Board-to-board connector through-hole technology allows three-dimensional connection of alignments and components on the PCB. The first PCB can use conductive copper traces in both horizontal and vertical directions along the PCB. Adding a few more layers to the board, a double-sided PCB will have almost a few single-layer PCBs between the two sides. a typical multilayer PCB with five layers can be less than 0.08 inches (2mm) thick. The vias have a conductive inner surface and can transfer current between any two layers of a multilayer PCB.
Due to a variety of proven technologies, modern electronic devices are more reliable and less expensive to manufacture. PCB manufacturing of multilayer boards used to be a huge challenge due to the hidden connections between two or more layers of copper alignments. Surface mount technology (SMT) promotes miniaturization because components can be easily mounted on PCBs even without drilling. In SMT, a robotic device applies adhesive to the lower side of the component before adhering it to the PCB. The leads on the pre-tinned leads of the component and the leads on the pre-tinned pads on the PCB will be reflowed. When the PCB is cooled, the soldering process is complete.
