What details should you pay attention to when testing the power connector?

We all know that connector products have to go through an inspection procedure after production and assembly, not only to check the functionality of the product but also to the customers and their own responsibility. So what are the details of power connector testing? Let's take a look!



The power connector is generally composed of a plug and a socket, which is also called a free connector and a socket is also called a fixed connector. Circuits are connected and disconnected by means of plugs, sockets, and plugging and detaching.



When testing the power connector, it is mainly divided into the following steps:



1: When testing cables or electronic equipment, the probe should meet the requirements. It is strictly prohibited to use a marker or copper wire for direct detection, so as to prevent the power connector jack from poking large or damaging the inner wall or bumping the pin crooked;



2: Before the test of the power connector on the test cable and electronic equipment, the power connector (plug and socket) on the test cable should be checked first, where there is shape damage, pin (hole) rust, pin distortion, socket deformation, dust pollution, wire fracture, shielding skin broken wire can not be inserted;



3: During the test, plug and remove the power connector. Generally, do not plug and remove the power connector for less than 3 minutes after the power is disconnected.



4: After the completion of the electrical performance test of the model and product, if the power connector is not separated for a long time, the power connector should be insured according to the requirements of the design and process documents. The locking device of the power connector should not be loosened during the insurance.
